We suggest that you first categorise the photos into relevant groups for chapters by placing them inside separate envelopes or plastic bags—use post-it type notes to write on any wording that you may wish to appear on the photos or include this as a text file or written paper.—Do not write on the back of photographs as this will show up on front when scanning!

‘Still Images’ are Paper photographs, Colour or black and White negatives, Colour Transparencies (slides) newspaper cuttings, certificates, digital photographs, PC graphic files or any other scannable material that is not copyright protected. We assume that you are the owner of such material and work only on this basis. 

‘Video tapes’ refer to Cine, Betamax, VHS, C-VHS, 8mm, Hi-8 or Digi-8, or Mini-DV tapes and PC files AVI/MPG etc which are not copyright protected. We can work from virtually any supplied PC format including floppy disks, zip disks, CDs, Photo-CDs etc. We cannot yet accept MAC format files.

We can transfer your copyrighted material from eg VHS to DVD but do so on the basis that we can only provide one copy for your personal backup use. We cannot supply Copies-2-share service for these copyright protected sources.
